UniVicoustic has appointed Signal Sound & Light Distribution GmbH as the brand’s official distributor in Austria. The agreement expands local access to its acoustic treatment portfolio and strengthens support for integrators, architects and professionals working on projects where acoustics need to form part of the overall space design.
Signal’s appointment marks a new stage for UniVicoustic in the Austrian market following several years of representation by 4Audio. The new distribution agreement will be supported by the commercial, technical and service structure that Signal already maintains in the country.
For AV integrators, the move is particularly relevant in corporate, hospitality, retail and public-space projects, where acoustic treatment increasingly needs to coexist with audiovisual systems, lighting, interior architecture and aesthetic requirements.
Acoustics integrated into space design
UniVicoustic’s offering combines acoustic treatment, sound insulation and finishes designed for architectural integration. Among the company’s technologies is VMT, a patented system that transforms recycled plastic into acoustic panels with finishes inspired by materials such as wood, concrete, marble or stone.

Signal Sound & Light Distribution was founded in 2007 by Matthias Reinthaler and has a team of 19 people based in Knittelfeld, Austria.
The company works with international manufacturers across audio, lighting, networking and AV systems, including L-Acoustics, Robe, Avolites, Electro-Voice, Dynacord, Shure, DPA, Luminex, Wisycom, SRS and Q-SYS.
Its activities cover markets such as installation, rental, theatre and broadcast, placing UniVicoustic within a distribution structure already accustomed to working on multidisciplinary projects.
