Spark, the creative technology event born within ISE, has opened registration for its second edition, which will take place on 3 and 4 February 2027 in Hall 8 of Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc, with more than 2,500 m² of exhibition space and two stages.
Under the theme ‘The Art of And’, Spark will return in 2027 with more room for the ideas, innovations and collaborations that are shaping content production across the creative industries. Alongside its two stages, the event will feature immersive activations exploring the meeting point between creativity and technology.
Its first edition, held in 2026, brought together 2,086 visitors from 79 countries and 1,400 companies, with 39% of attendees holding senior decision-making roles. The move to Hall 8 of the Montjuïc venue will give more space to its growing international community.
According to Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, the organiser of Spark, content creators and technology professionals have long wanted to share the same space, and the first edition confirmed it; the second will give them more room to create together. As it runs alongside ISE, visitors will also be able to find the professionals and specialist expertise to help them put into practice what they discover at Spark.

Two stages to bring disciplines together
The programme will explore how the convergence of creative disciplines, technologies and production approaches is giving rise to new ways of creating content and audience experiences. It will be split across two stages:
Spark Arena (paid sessions): the main stage, hosting in-depth discussions on the forces transforming creativity, content and technology.
Spark Forum (free sessions): practical sessions on how different creative disciplines feed each other with ideas, tools and talent.

Confirmed speakers include Simon Lachance, Technical Director at Cirque du Soleil; BAFTA-winning lighting designer Tim Routledge; Megan Wastell, expert adviser to the UK City of Culture 2029 programme at the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport; Giuseppe Celestino, Creative Partner at Runway and master’s lecturer at LABASAD; Manuel Gómez Zotano, Director of Systems and Innovation at RTVE; and Anna Diaz Ortuño, Co-founder and Creative Director of Hamill Industries.
Immersive experiences
Lab of Tomorrow, Tomorrowland’s entertainment innovation division, returns for a second year with a larger proposal. It connects experts from different fields and offers opportunities to test solutions at major industry events.
Sol Garden is an immersive art experience exploring the invisible forces of nature through projection, sound and visual storytelling. It is being developed with Artdott as immersive art and cultural experiences partner and REUKO as guest artist and creative lead, with technology from Barco, Ross Video and Intorno Labs.

The Immersive Pavilion will offer a space to discover extended reality (XR) hands-on, learn and experiment. IMMENSIVA and ESPRONCEDA will present world premieres in XR showing how immersive technologies open up new storytelling possibilities.
For networking, the Creator’s Lounge will be a dedicated space to exchange ideas, collaborate and build professional relationships, with local food trucks and work areas on site. New immersive experiences, collaborations and programme updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
A Spark or ISE badge will give access to the Spark, ISE and EdTech Congress exhibition areas and their free sessions. ISE 2027 takes place from 2 to 5 February at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, and a free shuttle bus service will connect Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via throughout both days of Spark.
