Audiovisuales Avellan has equipped the auditorium and press room at Cuenca Hospital with AUDAC and DAD audio systems, PROLIGHTS lighting, Visual Productions control, Netvio video electronics, and Caymon rack and connectivity infrastructure, all brands distributed by SeeSound.

Equipping a hospital auditorium requires the coordination of several systems for presentations, meetings and press events. The project includes sound, lighting, video electronics and racks, as well as a press panel with connections for the media.

Uniform sound coverage from six positions

Six AUDAC VEXO106 loudspeakers, two-way models featuring a 6-inch driver and a 1-inch compression driver (125 W RMS at 8 ohms), are distributed throughout the auditorium to achieve uniform coverage. Amplification is provided by AUDAC EPA254 (four channels of 250 W at 4 ohms) and EPA502 (two channels of 500 W at 4 ohms) amplifiers, both Class D units with a 1U rack format.

An AUDAC CMX215 microphone, featuring an electret condenser capsule and cardioid polar pattern, reduces sound pickup from the sides and rear to improve speech intelligibility. The system is completed by a DAD FUSION12MA two-way, 420 W powered stage monitor, featuring a 12-inch driver and a 1-inch compression driver.

Lighting for the presenter

Five PROLIGHTS EclFresnel VW fixtures, featuring adjustable white colour temperature, provide general lighting, while two EclProfile profile spotlights fitted with ECLLZ2550 zoom optics (25° to 50°) illuminate the lectern. Lighting is controlled via a Visual Productions B-Station2, featuring six RGB-backlit buttons and a DMX output for triggering programmed lighting scenes.

Video, rack and press panel

A Netvio SP-H2-0102-10 HDMI splitter (1x2, 4K at 60 Hz and HDR, with audio extraction and scaling) distributes a single source to two displays. The electronics are housed in a 12U Caymon EPR412/B wall-mounted rack, equipped with a PSR109GS/B power distribution unit featuring nine Schuko sockets. The press panel uses a CASY038/B modular chassis with a CASY126/B module providing two XLR connections.
