InfoComm Latin America dedicated an AI Summit + Lab to artificial intelligence in AV integration.
The AI Summit + Lab explored real-world applications of artificial intelligence in audiovisual projects and offered a hands-on workshop to experiment with these tools, with free admission.
Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in the design, integration and maintenance of audiovisual systems. However, its incorporation into everyday workflows raises questions about its usefulness, limitations and the skills professionals need to make the most of it.
With this approach, InfoComm Latin America devoted a day of its educational programme to artificial intelligence applied to audiovisual integration. The AI Summit + Lab was divided into two complementary parts: the first focused on analysing professional applications, while the second was dedicated to hands-on experimentation.
The initiative aimed to bring these technologies closer to integrators, manufacturers and end users, focusing on the specific tasks where they can add value.

What AI can solve
The first part of the event explored the potential of artificial intelligence at different stages of audiovisual projects, from preparing budgets and quotations to solution design and technical support.
Participants examined which processes could benefit from these tools, which aspects still require the involvement of specialised professionals and how to incorporate AI into existing workflows.
Another topic addressed was adapting the experience and expertise of AV professionals to an environment in which new automation and assistance tools are emerging. The aim was to assess their usefulness from a practical perspective, linked to the everyday needs of integration companies.
Hands-on workshop without coding
The second part of the AI Summit + Lab took the form of a workshop designed to turn the concepts discussed into practical experience.
During the session, attendees built a functional application in real time without needing any prior programming knowledge.
This approach allowed participants to explore how AI-based tools can be used to develop applications and test their capabilities in practice.
The combination of discussion and workshop activities aimed to provide an introduction to AI that went beyond theoretical demonstrations and enabled participants to become familiar with how these tools work.
Educational programme
The event's educational programme was organised into six thematic tracks, featuring more than 90 international specialists and a total of 50 sessions.
Through this programme, the trade show provided a forum for addressing issues related to technological and professional developments in the audiovisual sector, as well as for exchanging experiences among different industry stakeholders.
The inclusion of a dedicated day focusing on artificial intelligence reflected the interest in exploring how these tools can be incorporated into AV integration processes, both during the initial stages of projects and throughout their subsequent operation and maintenance.
