The experience economy and hybrid work are driving global audiovisual integration.
The new Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis 2025 (IOTA 2025) report from AVIXA projects that the global audiovisual integration industry will grow from 332 billion dollars in 2025 to 402 billion in 2030. This 70 billion increase confirms the resilience of the sector, even after the slowdown seen in 2024.
Moderate but steady growth
AVIXA adjusts its forecast to an annual growth of 3.9% (down from 5.3%). Although geopolitics, tariffs and high interest rates act as a brake, the AV industry continues to outperform global GDP by 0.8 percentage points.
Sean Wargo, Vice President of Market Insight at AVIXA, summarizes: “The audiovisual integration sector remains well positioned for long-term success. The challenge will be to leverage investment in emerging technologies, regional diversification and cross-sector partnerships to unlock new opportunities.”

Key factors: experiences and hybrid work
- Hybrid workplaces: increased investment in AV technology to enhance collaboration and productivity.
- Experience economy: growth in live events, retail, hospitality and entertainment venues.
India takes the lead and LATAM accelerates
- India becomes the driving force of the APAC region, overtaking China, thanks to its infrastructure investment and immersive technology-based experiences.
- Middle East and Latin America also show strong momentum.
Sergio Gaitán Serrano, Regional Manager at AVIXA, points out: “Latin America reflects most global trends with one key difference: services lead professional AV revenues. Knowledge and certifications are now a crucial differentiator in the region.”

Four innovations in the spotlight
- AV over IP: already a consolidated standard for distributing content and controlling systems over IP networks.
- Software and cloud: enabling remote management, scalability and efficiency.
- Artificial intelligence (AI): enhancing system capabilities in design, programming and workflow optimization.
- Extended reality (XR): increasingly present in entertainment, retail and education.
The strongest push comes from software and AI-based services, confirming the shift towards value-added solutions and intelligent infrastructures.
Solutions and verticals on the rise
- Conferencing and collaboration: remain the number one priority.
- Security and surveillance: rapidly climbing the investment agenda.
- Content production and distribution: now in second place, with companies leveraging corporate events and messages as audiovisual content for social media, podcasts and proprietary platforms.

Conclusion
The IOTA 2025 report confirms that, even in a challenging economic environment, the audiovisual integration industry continues to grow, diversify and evolve towards more strategic and experience-oriented solutions.
