At OPTIMUS, we take pride in being part of projects that transform and enhance corporate infrastructure.
Today, we highlight a success story: the construction of the new headquarters for Grupo Cajamar at the Almería Science and Technology Park (PITA).
Cajamar, one of Spain's top ten financial institutions, has decided to consolidate its central and technological services in a modern complex in Almería. The new headquarters will accommodate around 2,000 employees, centralizing operations currently spread across different locations, optimizing operational efficiency, and reinforcing the institution's commitment to the economic and social development of Almería.
This new corporate headquarters occupies a plot of 33,800 m², with a total constructed area of approximately 42,500 m² above ground and 52,000 m² below ground, dedicated to parking and various facilities.
The innovative and functional design, created by Ayala Arquitectos and executed by JARQUIL as the main contractor, features a building that shifts from a rectangular alignment to a six-arm shape above ground, using post-tensioned slabs, a solution rarely seen in buildings of this type. The aesthetically imposing structure is an example of advanced engineering. The complex will offer a wide range of amenities for its employees, including open spaces, meeting rooms, collaborative work areas, auditorium, green spaces, cafeteria, dining area, medical service, childcare and play area, and 900 parking spaces.
OPTIMUS technology for Cajamar
To ensure effective communication and optimal security, advanced OPTIMUS systems have been installed, all certified under EN 54 standards.
Over 1000 speakers have been deployed, including: ceiling-recessed (model A-225EN), surface-mounted ceiling (model AS-226EN), and over 150 sound projectors (model SP-20EN). Many of these speakers were painted in RAL 9005 to match the building's aesthetics.
The COMPACT system was implemented, capable of controlling over 72 speaker zones with a power of 6000 W RMS, along with advanced control software and 2 DC-700ETH control consoles. Additionally, 20 units of the KB-10F model were supplied for accessible restroom signage.
Construction, started in 2020, has progressed significantly, with the main structure already completed. JARQUIL employs modern planning and control technologies, including collaborative BIM environments, enabling anticipation of any issues and ensuring efficient and precise execution.
At OPTIMUS, we provide state-of-the-art technology in public address, voice alarm, and intercommunication systems. Each project is approached with utmost dedication and rigor to deliver the best solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Cajamar's new headquarters in Almería is a clear example of how this technology and commitment can integrate to create modern, efficient workspaces ready for the future.
