InfoComm 2025 strengthens its focus on business management and project management in the AV industry.

This year’s edition of InfoComm, which takes place from June 7 to 13 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, features a program centered on business management and project management, one of the most in-demand areas among professional audiovisual (AV) practitioners.

Organized by AVIXA, InfoComm 2025 brings together more than 20 training sessions and workshops dedicated to key aspects such as operations, finance, team building, and strategic planning. Away from the usual technology focus, the goal is to address the daily challenges of those who manage AV integration companies, work teams, or complex projects.

Market analysis and industry evolution

One of the highlights is the State of the AV Industry session, in which AVIXA’s market research team presents the first data from the IOTA 2025 report. The analysis is expected to include sector growth forecasts, as well as the impact of macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rates, and trade barriers.

This approach is complemented by the results of recent end-user surveys, which provide direct insights into purchasing intentions and the evolution of demand for AV services and products.

Specialized training for AV integrators

The NSCA (National Systems Contractors Association) returns with its BizSkills workshop, an intensive day featuring five thematic sessions aimed at AV integration professionals. The sessions cover everything from customer-centric sales to internal operations, project management, and finance, with a very practical orientation and industry-specific examples.IC gestion empresarial 2 HIAmong the key topics addressed are:

  • AV integration sales, focused on building trust and adapting to the customer.
  • Project management, including the full project lifecycle and its operational impact.
  • Operations and finance, with exercises on how to interpret and apply basic financial indicators within an AV company.
  • A plenary lunch analyzing the state of the industry at midyear, with participation from experienced integrators and NSCA leaders.

Team management training and modular education

In addition to the BizSkills program, InfoComm 2025 offers several more extensive courses, such as the three-day workshop How to Effectively Manage AV Staff, which covers personnel training and real-world problem solving in AV teams, or the intensive project management course for integration professionals, scheduled for June 7.IC gestion empresarial 3 HIThere are also sessions dedicated to creating modular training programs and onboarding new generations into the field, addressing topics such as diversity, technical training, internships, and career pathways.

Certifications: CTS and ANP

Attendees have the opportunity to prepare for and take the CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) and ANP (Audiovisual Network Professional) certifications, aimed at validating key technical knowledge in a sector increasingly interconnected with the IT environment.

Without abandoning its commercial profile entirely, InfoComm 2025 thus expands its reach to the structural aspects of AV companies, at a time when many integrators are looking to improve their internal processes as much as their technological offerings.
