Crestron Home OS 4.11 makes Configure Pro the standard tool and adds Faradite compatibility.

Every Crestron Home® OS update introduces enhancements for both homeowners and integrators, whether through support for new hardware or improvements to the user experience and platform functionality.

With Crestron Home OS 4.11, Configure Pro officially becomes the primary configuration tool for Crestron Home OS projects worldwide.

According to Doug Jacobson, Senior Director of Product Management for Software Platforms at Crestron, Configure Pro has been built from the ground up as a native application for Windows and macOS, offering a more streamlined interface, new productivity features, keyboard shortcuts and optimized navigation through direct links to devices and web interfaces.Crestron HomeOS 2 HIIt also features a guided step-by-step configuration workflow that simplifies the deployment of new projects and makes future system expansion easier.

A tool developed alongside integrators

Configure Pro remained in beta for nearly a year. During that period, hundreds of dealers took part in Crestron's early access program, using the platform in real-world projects and providing feedback to the development team.

As Ben Goers, owner of Lava Integrated Technologies and a participant in the program, explains:

Throughout the beta process, communication was excellent. I always felt that our feedback was being heard. Being able to contribute to the development of a tool that benefits all dealers is something I truly value.

According to Crestron, the result is a tool designed to fit the real-world workflows of professional integrators, streamlining system configuration and improving consistency across projects. Michael Short, Vice President of Marketing Operations and Residential at Crestron, adds that dealer participation played a decisive role in the platform's development.

Expanded compatibility with Faradite keypads

In addition to making Configure Pro the standard configuration tool, Crestron Home OS 4.11 adds support for sequence commands on Faradite keypads, providing greater flexibility when developing automation routines for compatible projects.Crestron HomeOS 3 HIFaradite manufactures smart home accessories designed to deliver a high level of integration and control through discreetly designed devices. Crestron has also announced new training initiatives for dealers, including several webinars on Configure Pro and a dedicated course developed by the Crestron Technical Institute to support adoption of the new tool.

We are extremely proud of the work that has culminated in the launch of Configure Pro. The fact that dealer feedback and testing played such a key role in its development perfectly reflects what we call the 'True Blue' philosophy. Our dealers are true partners in the residential technology industry, says Michael Short.
