RESIDE, a new residential AV integration event powered by AVIXA, HTSA, and ProSource.

AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, has announced the launch of RESIDE, a new event dedicated to the residential audiovisual integration sector, bringing together integrators, manufacturers, and service providers specialising in the design and deployment of audiovisual solutions for the home. The first edition of RESIDE will take place alongside Lightapalooza during InfoComm 2027, from June 16–18 in Orlando, Florida.

Technology-driven experiences are increasingly shaping the way people live, work, and enjoy their leisure time.

As the commercial and residential sectors continue to share an increasing number of technologies and areas of expertise, the addition of RESIDE and Lightapalooza to InfoComm aims to accelerate this convergence and strengthen connections across the audiovisual industry. Evidence of this trend can be seen in the fact that, at InfoComm 2025, 16% of attending integrators indicated that they also deliver projects for the residential market.

AVIXA reside 2 HIRESIDE was created through a collaboration between AVIXA and the organisations Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) and ProSource, with the goal of developing an event specifically designed for the residential channel. Together, they represent more than 750 of North America's leading residential integration companies.

This partnership brings together highly influential communities that need a true meeting place: a space where they can connect with peers, manufacturers, and solution providers through product demonstrations, training, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. We are seeing in the residential market the same convergence that has already taken place in commercial AV. Technologies that once operated independently have evolved into fully integrated systems, and that shift is transforming the industry, said Jenn Heinold, Senior Vice President of Expositions, Americas, at AVIXA.

"For custom AV integrators and leading manufacturers, it is essential to approach audio, video, control, networking, lighting, outdoor environments, and wellness as a single integrated system", said Jim Pearse, CEO of ProSource. "We are proud of this unprecedented partnership with AVIXA and HTSA to bring RESIDE to our industry, an event that will serve as a meeting point for professionals in custom audiovisual integration".

"ProSource and HTSA partnered from the very beginning on the residential lighting event Lightapalooza, an event that clearly demonstrated the need for greater education, collaboration, and connection within the custom residential integration community", said Jon Robbins, Executive Director of HTSA. "We are delighted to work with ProSource and AVIXA to build the residential event that the industry needs".

The inclusion of residential integration professionals at InfoComm will reinforce the show’s role as a key meeting point for specialists in integrated experiences across the commercial, residential and hybrid sectors, as highlighted by David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, CEO of AVIXA.
