Humly has expanded its booking ecosystem by incorporating QR codes.

This enhancement enables instant space bookings directly from the user’s personal device.

Now available and introduced at ISE 2026, Humly QR Code connects physical spaces such as rooms, workstations, phone booths and parking spaces through the Humly Reservations software.

This new functionality requires no additional hardware or app installation, making it easy to use from any smartphone. It also reduces manual interactions and simplifies operational IT management for customers.

Visitors to the Humly stand were able to explore Humly QR Code simulations to see how each unique code links to a specific shared resource within an office building, university campus or other facilities where people work, study or visit. By scanning the QR codes, whether digital or printed, the Humly Reservations programme opened instantly in any smartphone browser, showing real-time availability to confirm immediate bookings or consider alternatives. These options included access to ongoing or future bookings in order to determine later availability.

Humly QR Code also supported custom tools, such as the ability to edit bookings or check the availability of nearby spaces if the user’s preferred option was occupied. Administrators also benefited from the ability to quickly create, download and manage QR codes directly from Humly Control Panel, the central management system for the Humly ecosystem. Codes could be generated as static (for fixed resources) or dynamic (for flexible or changing configurations), making it easier to keep all information accurate and up to date without needing to reprint QR codes.

Humly QR Booking represents another step towards more efficient work environments, integrating naturally into the way people work and the spaces where daily activity takes place. It is designed for organisations that want to offer the same seamless experience provided by Humly Room Display or Humly Booking Device, but without the need for additional hardware, installation time or integration costs. The result is a lightweight, reliable and secure booking solution that expands the Humly ecosystem and streamlines the booking process, said Anders Karlsson, CEO of Humly.
