Blanca Goyzueta, Commercial Director at Almacenes Audiovisuales, shared her perspective on the current state of the AV industry.

Her testimony reflects an optimistic outlook, backed by solid data, experience, and a strong commitment to professional development.

InfoComm and a changing market

From the show floor in Orlando, Blanca shared her first impressions of the expo: “Whenever there’s an InfoComm or industry event, people gather—you get to talk. It’s a joyful atmosphere”. However, she also noted a lower turnout of Latin American visitors this year, something she attributes to logistical and political issues, but interprets as an opportunity:

The reality is that an interesting door has opened for us with InfoComm coming to Mexico. Maybe many people couldn’t come to the U.S., but that doesn’t mean they’re not interested. There’s simply now a more viable option.

Mexico: between domestic growth and global reach

When asked about the business climate in Mexico, Blanca was clear: “The industry is growing. There is increasing interest in bringing AV technology into companies and projects”.

She noted that despite global challenges, projects are still moving forward—and even expanding. “Mexico is becoming more involved in the global scene”, she explained, referring to both regional and international initiatives now being replicated in the country. “So far this year, we’ve already seen projects from companies like Netflix, Mercado Libre, L’Oréal, and globally present banks that are seeking to implement their solutions in Mexico”, she added.

Tourism, integration, and new demands

One of the main sectors driving activity for Almacenes Audiovisuales is tourism.

We’re talking about large resorts with thousands of rooms. Even during the pandemic, they kept investing, and now we’re seeing them grow not only on land but also on ships, Blanca explained.

These types of projects require robust, reliable, and adaptable solutions, which has helped the company establish itself as a strategic partner for both manufacturers and integrators.

A commitment to InfoComm Latin America

Looking ahead to the October event, Blanca revealed that Almacenes Audiovisuales will have a strong presence: “We’re going to have a booth and several brands will be with us—if not in person, then through implemented solutions”. Some of the brands that will be showcased include QSC, Panasonic, INOGENI, Liberty, FSR, among others.

She also emphasized Almacenes’ openness to other countries in the region: “Even if we don’t have direct representation for some brands in Latin America, we’ve supported projects where there are no local reps. We’re open, and our partners can also develop opportunities”.

For Blanca, InfoComm in Mexico will be a great platform to strengthen connections with integrators, clients, and manufacturers from all over Latin America.

“The sun rises for everyone. The opportunity to be part of a community and contribute makes us better as a society”, she concluded with an inspiring reflection.

Commitment to Education: The Impact of CTS

Another major achievement for Almacenes Audiovisuales has been the certification of several team members as AVIXA Certified Technology Specialists (CTS). “Jenny and Iber are here in Orlando. Iber leads the sales engineering team, and Jenny went from student to certified engineer, which gives her much more confidence”, Blanca proudly shared.

In addition, other team members such as Daniel, Gustavo, and Mauricio have also started or completed their certification process. “It’s great to see how CTS builds their confidence, opens doors, and increases their credibility with clients”.
