Crestron expands its portfolio with innovations designed to simplify AV integration in both commercial and residential environments.

About a month after the conclusion of ISE 2025, it’s time to recap the main new developments Crestron showcased at the event, where the company revealed a broad range of additions built for both corporate and residential settings.

Crestron at ISE 2025 – an overview

The annual ISE trade show in Barcelona is a unique gathering that brings together residential and commercial solutions, thereby fostering a kind of “cross-pollination.” A prime example is Crestron’s DM NVX® AV-over-IP platform, which delivers high-level meeting experiences for corporate environments while also offering “entertainment everywhere” in residential settings.

That very hybrid approach is why ISE has always been a fitting event for Crestron. The company’s wide-ranging portfolio spans every vertical sector imaginable—from large enterprises to education and smart homes—and the 2025 edition continued a strategy that Crestron has been refining over the past five years: showcasing solutions as integral experiences rather than mere “black boxes.”

The goal is to convey the essence of Crestron’s mission: providing seamless and intuitive experiences, simplifying technology for the way we live, work, and learn.

Of course, those experiences rest upon tangible devices. During ISE 2025, Crestron introduced a wide range of new offerings for its commercial and residential portfolios, many of which are detailed below.

Commercial solutions

AirMedia Connect Endpoint

A while back, Crestron introduced the AirMedia® Connect Adaptor (AM-TX3-100), a plug-and-play solution that enables you to present or host a meeting from your personal device in any space, easily and without the need for extra software or drivers.

At ISE 2025, Crestron unveiled the new AirMedia® Connect Endpoint (AM-TX3-200), which expands on the AirMedia Connect Adaptor’s features and provides greater device and network connectivity in a new form factor. Participants can now connect securely via wired or wireless methods: the AirMedia app, native presentation protocols, or the AirMedia Connect device itself. Thanks to the AirMedia Connect Endpoint, users can enjoy the simplicity of a USB-C® or HDMI® + USB-A connection without worrying about network configurations or connection instructions. Its compact size makes it ideal for podiums or under-table installations, and it supports multiple power options—PoE, DC, or USB-C.

New XiO Cloud and XiO Cloud Premium subscriptions

For those who need a reliable platform for cloud monitoring and management, XiO Cloud® allows programmers to deploy systems efficiently, monitor hardware status, and update firmware from a central location.

Starting January 31, 2025, Crestron offers a free XiO Cloud subscription, allowing unlimited Crestron rooms and devices to be added. In addition, XiO Cloud Premium was introduced— a paid subscription tier that includes more features and third-party compatibility. This new two-tier subscription model makes XiO Cloud accessible to a wide variety of users and projects.

The free XiO Cloud plan streamlines remote device deployment and management, providing SMS or email alerts for proactive system monitoring. Meanwhile, XiO Cloud Premium adds third-party device monitoring, room-level functionality, and REST API access. Both tiers offer significant value; Premium subscriptions are based on the number of devices and can be expanded or adjusted annually through the True-Up process. 

Residential solutions

Crestron DIN-DLI DALI lighting controller

At ISE 2025, Crestron showcased the new DIN-DLI, a next-generation lighting controller compatible with the DALI® standard, designed to simplify integration complexity and bring the beauty of dynamic lighting to users.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is an industry standard for digital lighting control, allowing precise management of each fixture. DALI2 improves this standard with greater interoperability and reliability, while Device Type 8 (DT8) defines tunable white luminaires, enabling dynamic adjustments to color temperature and brightness.

The DIN-DLI builds on Crestron’s DIN-DALI-2 but goes further by addressing the challenges of DALI2 and DT8 in residential settings. Previously, achieving tunable white lighting with varying color temperatures involved complex programming, increasing both time and costs. The DIN-DLI simplifies this thanks to native DT8 support, allowing direct management of color temperature and brightness through the Crestron Home® OS, reducing programming demands and improving efficiency for dealers.

Crestron Home OS 4

ISE 2025 also featured the latest advancements in the Crestron Home® OS. In addition to support for the functionality noted above (and more), several new integrations were unveiled:

• Third-party door locks: The list of manufacturers compatible with Crestron Home OS continues to grow, providing more smart lock options and a more intuitive user experience in the app.
• Updated KNX driver: Last year, Crestron made it easier to integrate Crestron Home OS and KNX with a powerful DIN rail device. Now, in collaboration with 1Home and TIG, a new driver has been added, offering yet another way to manage KNX.
• Tesla® driver: Through a driver developed by Intrinsic (DEV), users can now check battery status and optimize charging times for their Tesla vehicle, all via the Crestron Home app.
• Energy and utilities management: Several new integrations have been announced to enhance the Crestron Home ecosystem in terms of power and energy solutions.
• Enhanced climate control: Integration with CoolAutomation and Airzone continues to expand, making climate control more powerful and user-friendly.
• DGE-1000: This device transforms any HD touch screen into an advanced Crestron controller. At the show, it was demonstrated with Opale’s mirror TV solution, allowing users to manage their smart home while getting ready for the day.

CI Systems’ Shadow EMEA Shades with Crestron digital QMT motors

CI Systems, a provider of lighting control solutions in the EMEA region, launched its new Shadow EMEA shade line at ISE 2025, powered by Crestron’s QMT® digital motor. This collaboration offers multiple benefits for Crestron dealers in EMEA, providing efficiency, sustainability, and local expertise in shading systems.

CI Systems’ Shadow EMEA line of shades integrates with the following Crestron hardware:

• Crestron QMT® 3 and QMT® 5 motors for roller shades: CI Systems’ popular roller shades incorporate Crestron’s silent, reliable QMT motors, along with a wide range of fabrics and colors.
• Crestron brackets: Designed for straightforward installation and configuration, with high-quality finishes.
• Crestron Roman shade kits: Ideal for those seeking a classic, elegant style.
• Crestron fascias: Available in a variety of options—from square and rounded designs to custom shapes—to enhance the look of Shadow EMEA shades.

Crestron DM NVX AV-over-IP technology

As a grand finale at ISE 2025, the new DM NVX® 384 encoder/decoder was on display, representing the next generation of AV-over-IP technology. With USB-C® connectivity, the ability to switch between four inputs, 5K video support, and more, the DM NVX 384 is ideal for a wide range of residential and commercial applications. Crestron also demonstrated one of the latest DM NVX enhancements: multi-view, which seamlessly distributes content from multiple sources to a single display.

Additionally, the company announced that the TSR-310 remote would receive a refresh with a more elegant design, and revealed new collaborations with keypad manufacturers (including Meljac and Black Nova), among other developments.

The core of the mission

Once again, all of these devices are designed to interact and create experiences greater than the sum of their technological components. That vision was reinforced across three key areas highlighted at the ISE 2025 booth: content, control, and collaboration.

• Content: Visitors saw how Crestron enables seamless content sharing, whether it’s a crucial sales presentation at the office or a theatrical movie at home. The booth illustrated how these solutions distribute high-quality video and audio from any device to any display with minimal latency.
• Control: Solutions ranged from simple touch interfaces in prominent spaces to complete residential automation. Crestron’s system simplifies technology with intuitive controls capable of automating essential functions and connecting infrastructure for easy management.
• Collaboration: With hybrid work on the rise, Crestron’s collaboration solutions have earned widespread acclaim. These offerings, shown at the event, deliver true meeting equity, connecting and engaging colleagues and clients, whether they’re in the same room or halfway around the world.

In conclusion, a month after ISE 2025, it’s clear that Crestron once again stood out for innovations spanning the full range of audiovisual integration and automation, both in the commercial and residential sectors. These solutions not only reflect the brand’s ongoing evolution but also underscore Crestron’s primary goal: empowering users with simple, intuitive, and fully connected experiences.
