ZeeVee revealed a new content distribution solution at InfoComm 2024.

At InfoComm 2024, ZeeVee (stand #C8648) presented a new model in the value product line ZyPer4K-XS: a decoder that included Dante AES67 audio, full USB 2.0 support, and several other features.

The enhanced ZyPer4K-XS decoder included a built-in Icron card that provided expanded USB capabilities. This AV over IP and SDVoE model offered a cost-effective and space-saving means to distribute and switch uncompressed content, audio, and control in resolutions of 720p, 1080p HD, Ultra HD, and 4K over off-the-shelf 10Gb Ethernet computers. Its IP-based architecture allowed for switching from one source to another without frame loss, even at 4K resolutions.

This update to our ZyPer4K-XS decoder, especially with Dante and USB 2.0 support, combined with the product's compact size, silent operation, and cost-effective price, made it an ideal choice for SDVoE implementations in any environment. The ZyPer4K-XS product line had been implemented in countless high-profile installations worldwide, including those for the World Health Organization, Samsung, Saudi Aramco, BetMGM, and the Westgate Resort, said Joseph Chordas, VP of North American sales and corporate marketing.

Other features of the decoder included RS-232 support through a 3-pin connector that allowed for serial commands such as turning monitors on and off and switching HDMI modes. Analog audio was enabled through a balanced 5-pin connector.

The ZyPer4K-XS decoder allowed for clean and efficient installations with built-in support for 10Gb Power over Ethernet (PoE) that enabled the delivery of data and power over an IP network. Fanless thermal management prevented the unit from overheating without generating annoying noise.

ZeeVee's advanced software solution, which included the ZyPer management platform, was fundamental to its commitment to making AV over IP accessible and straightforward. Among the performance and installation features that differentiated its family of ZyPer4K encoders and decoders in the market were:
