Logitech has introduced new software tools aimed at improving remote access, room booking, and usage data collection for corporate rooms, with the goal of simplifying the management of these spaces and devices through Logitech Sync.

These innovative features promise to alleviate the burden on IT teams, who are typically responsible for ensuring that meeting spaces are available and operational for employees at all times. Additionally, they will empower these professionals by allowing them to manage these spaces remotely and securely.

As the complexity of conference rooms has increased, IT teams have struggled to keep up. Think of Logitech Sync as a sort of command center for IT, a kind of enterprise mission control capable of addressing those critical moments, like a 'Houston, we have a problem', and resolving virtually any challenges that may arise, such as a Rally Bar 8,000 kilometers away, said Henry Levak, Vice President of Product for Logitech B2B.

Room booking through a single panel

Introduced last year, Logitech's desk booking solution, Logi Dock Flex, simplifies the process for employees to find spaces where they can work in flexible desk environments, allowing them to easily locate a spot near their colleagues and better organize themselves. Moreover, now, the new room booking software from Logitech, integrated into Tap Scheduler, offers an even more intuitive experience, addressing common conference room booking conflicts and facilitating centralized management for IT teams through a single platform.With this software, employees can book and claim rooms directly through their existing calendar application, such as Google Workspace and Office 365, or directly on Logitech Tap Scheduler.

Automated features adapt to common workplace behaviors

For example, if access to a reserved room is not registered within a pre-established time period, it will automatically be released and made available to other users. Additionally, for impromptu meetings, users can identify available rooms through the availability status LED lights on Tap Scheduler or find available rooms by looking at the floor maps within Tap Scheduler, the Logi Tune app, or office screens.

Later, in an upcoming software update, the AI presence detector Viewfinder of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini, which is currently used to frame people, will be able to identify when a meeting is taking place and automatically change the room's status to occupied.

Furthermore, IT administrators can customize the room booking and release settings to match the specific policies of each workplace. Additionally, this year, they will be able to customize the Tap Scheduler interface with personalized wallpapers and branding.

Better remote troubleshooting

Thousands of companies around the world rely on Logitech Sync to remotely manage their global team’s spaces and devices. Now, remote capabilities take a significant step forward with Remote UI Access through Sync.

Just as an IT team member can virtually take control of an employee’s computer to troubleshoot issues directly, Remote UI Access allows IT to 'view' the inside of a conference room to resolve problems related to conference cameras, touch controllers, and even the scheduling panel, all without needing to physically enter the room. Logitech’s strict privacy and security standards ensure that Sync never captures or stores sound, video, or images from a meeting room.

Detailed analytics

From meeting rooms to boardrooms, Sync tracks usage patterns (frequency of use) and occupancy (number of people in a specific room at the same time) to eliminate uncertainty about user preferences.

This usage and occupancy data, accessible only to the client’s IT administrators, provides a solid foundation for making the right decisions about reconfiguring underused spaces or duplicating high-demand spaces.
