A curved WP Series LED display delivers interactive content to guests arriving at Ciel Dubai Marina.
Rising 377 metres above Dubai’s waterfront, Ciel Dubai Marina is the world's tallest hotel. Its 82-storey tower, part of the IHG Vignette Collection and managed by The First Group Hospitality, features 857 guest rooms and 147 suites in a building designed to stand out for both its striking interior architecture and its commanding presence on the city's skyline.
The lobby is the first point of contact for every guest, and the INFiLED LED displays installed there were purpose-built to make that first impression unforgettable.
The installation was carried out by Huda Lighting, a regional lighting solutions provider with more than 25 years of experience across the hospitality, retail and commercial sectors in the Middle East, North Africa and the UK. Working closely with the Ciel team from the design phase onwards, Huda Lighting was responsible for developing an interactive LED installation that seamlessly integrates with the curved architecture of the lobby wall.
The objective was to create a distinctive user experience from the moment visitors enter the lobby, with a design that naturally follows the wall’s curvature. The content is based on movement, responding dynamically as people approach, while touch interaction provides an engaging and immersive experience, explains Khaled B. Alami, Managing Director of Huda Lighting.
The INFiLED installation combines panels from two complementary series. Flat WP Series modules are paired with curved WP Wrap Series panels, which provide a 120-degree arc that follows the natural contour of the lobby wall, creating a continuous LED display measuring 3.6 x 6.75 metres. The complete display features a 1.25 mm pixel pitch and 800 nits of brightness, delivering sharp, vibrant images even in the high ambient light conditions of a luxury hotel while maintaining low power consumption without compromising visual performance.
The WP Wrap Series also brings significant design advantages. With an edge thickness of just 29.5 mm, the LED panels sit flush against the wall without protruding into the space. In addition, the front-access modules allow maintenance to be carried out without disrupting activity in the lobby, while the system is designed for continuous 24/7 operation, ensuring reliable performance in an environment where the display is always on.
In its standard mode, the LED display responds to guests as they walk through the lobby. It can also be easily adapted for special events. In late 2025, for example, it was reconfigured for a brand activation featuring actor Jason Momoa, who used the hotel to promote his Meili Vodka brand, demonstrating the versatility that a fully manageable LED display brings to a venue of this kind.
This is a complex installation due to the constraints of the space and the combination of flat and concave modules. We are extremely proud of the final result and delighted to see guests enjoying this large-scale interactive LED display, adds Alami.
The INFiLED interactive installation forms part of the wider guest experience at Ciel Dubai Marina, which includes one of the world's highest rooftop infinity pools, soaring atriums and panoramic views across the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Gulf. By placing an INFiLED LED display at the heart of the arrival experience, the hotel adds an interactive dimension to one of the most memorable moments of every guest's stay. Whether welcoming first-time visitors or serving as the centrepiece of a brand event, the installation has been designed to adapt to any occasion.
