Optoma is powering Designtech’s technology showroom in Milan with projection and digital signage solutions.

The CoFactory space by Designtech in Milan has become a technological showcase where innovation, design and audiovisual experiences converge.

To meet the centre’s operational needs while also providing an attractive environment for visitors and potential clients, Designtech opted for an audiovisual infrastructure based on Optoma’s professional visualisation solutions.

A space combining functionality and visual experience

The main challenge of the project was to equip the space with a technological infrastructure capable of supporting the centre’s daily operations while also functioning as a dynamic showroom for technology demonstrations. The installation had to seamlessly integrate projection systems and digital displays across different areas of the building, including the reception, bar and lounge areas, several meeting rooms and a striking central staircase that serves as a projection surface.

The goal was to create an environment that is functional for everyday work, yet visually impactful, capable of showcasing the potential of audiovisual technologies to clients, partners and visitors.

Optoma solutions for a versatile environment

To bring this project to life, different Optoma solutions were selected for their reliability, image quality and excellent value for money, as well as their ability to adapt to the various uses of the space.

The installation includes:

• 1 ZU920TST laser projector with 9,800 lumens, dedicated to the main projection area.
• 1 interactive 86" 5862RK+ display located in the bar and relaxation area.
• 1 digital signage display of 98" N3981K installed at reception.
• 1 digital signage display of 65" N3651K in the main meeting room.
• 2 digital signage displays of 55" N3551K in additional meeting rooms.

All these technologies were carefully integrated to create an environment that optimises internal workflows while also delivering immersive visual experiences for visitors.

One of the most striking elements of the project is the main projection area, which takes advantage of the architecture of the building’s large wooden staircase to create a unique visual impact. This space is frequently used as a showroom for Optoma technology demonstrations, allowing potential clients to experience the capabilities of its solutions first-hand.

A benchmark space for technological innovation

The installation has successfully achieved a dual objective: providing Designtech with a technologically equipped environment for its daily activities while also becoming a reference space for audiovisual demonstrations in Milan.
