Queen's University is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Queen's holds more than 3,500 acres of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England.

Queen's is a co-educational university organized into eight faculties and schools, with more than 33,842 students and over 131,000 alumni living worldwide. Challenge

Queens University needed a seamless and adaptable audio solution that could support both voice amplification within individual classrooms and facilitate communication between adjoining spaces. With various classroom configurations and the requirement for user-friendly technology, the university sought a solution that could cater to diverse teaching styles while promoting accessibility.

Solution

The university selected Sennheiser for its proven reliability and performance.

TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphones were deployed in Active Learning Classrooms, and the TruVoiceLift feature ensured students could be heard clearly by their classmates across the room during group work, and to facilitate interaction between connected classrooms. Additionally, the university installed Sennheiser's MobileConnect Stations to enhance accessibility, allowing students to join audio streams via QR codes and the user-friendly MobileConnect app.

The integration of Sennheiser SpeechLine microphones added further value to the project. The SpeechLine series offers robust networking features, including Sennheiser Control Cockpit that allows the university's technical team to monitor battery life and receive alerts for any potential issues.
