DSS has unveiled its speaker line-up and agenda highlights.

Organised by invidis consulting in collaboration with Integrated Systems Events, DSS aims to bring together different industry perspectives on how companies are adapting to rapid structural and technological change.

Coinciding with its 20th anniversary, the two-day programme taking place at the Hilton Munich Airport (20–21 May) will feature keynotes, panel discussions and expert-led sessions focused on strategic and technological shifts.

 

Under the NextGen Signage theme, senior executives from across the global digital signage ecosystem will examine the key forces reshaping the global market, including economic pressures, industry consolidation, intensifying competition, commoditisation, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence.

 

DSS nextgen 2 HISpeaker and agenda highlights for 2026 include:

  • invidis keynotes and 20th anniversary moments: DSS will open with the NextGen Signage keynote presented by Florian Rotberg, Managing Director of invidis, and Stefan Schieker, Senior Partner at invidis, who will set the agenda for the event and provide a clear overview of the current state of the industry. This will be followed by the 20 Years of Digital Signage keynote, reflecting on the defining moments of the past two decades and examining the future of the sector. The event will also include networking sessions and evening celebrations at Airbräu.
  • Market update: DACH, the Americas, India and Europe will be among the regions addressed throughout the two-day programme. Featured panels include The European Leaders Panel: Outgrowing Local Markets – The New European Way and DSF Forum: Tariffs, Turmoil, Takeovers: The Real Challenges Facing the Americas, featuring Tamara Bebb, CEO of Spectrio, and Rick Mills, CEO of Creative Realities, to examine the impact of factors such as tariffs and AI on digital signage. Jonas Lagerqvist, Deputy CEO and CFO at Vertiseit, and Erik Wolff, COO ICT at Econocom, will also explore the deals, tensions and trade-offs behind digital signage consolidation and its implications for valuation, innovation and the future of the ecosystem.
  • Operating systems and cybersecurity: The era when digital signage systems could operate without serious cybersecurity considerations is over. The session Cybersecurity in Digital Signage - Unpatched, Unsecured, Unprotected will address the uncomfortable realities surrounding this topic. Other sessions will focus on operating system selection, update policies, governance, resilience and risk, as well as how platform choices influence security posture and total cost of ownership.
  • AI Spotlight: Featuring a new format for 2026, AI Spotlight will invite speakers to take the stage individually to discuss specialised topics and analyse how generative, analytical and agentic AI are impacting the industry. Participants include Rick Mills, CEO of Creative Realities; Andy W. Bohli, CEO of Imaculix AG/Cingerine AG; Mathieu Yerle, CEO of Intuiface; Viktor Petersson, CEO of Screenly; and Ron Levac, Managing Partner at Global Technology Investments LLC.
  • Retail Media: Sessions will focus on experiences and growth opportunities across sectors, including the role of retail media networks and the intersection between signage, adtech, audiences, analytics and commercial models. Jan Schoenmakers, Managing Director at HASE & IGEL, will explore how AI is transforming in-store data — previously fragmented and underused — into a powerful driver of insights, accountability and commercial growth for retailers and brands in his session “Predict, Target, Monetize: The New AI Retail Playbook.”
  • Green Signage: The programme will examine how sustainability can become a measurable operational discipline, covering energy efficiency, lifecycle optimisation and reporting. Jesco Dayen from Siemens AG, alongside other experts, will explain how green signage is moving from concept to commercial reality in the session The New Relevance of Green Signage.
  • Tech Dialogue: Comprised of 10 dedicated sessions, the Tech Dialogue track is designed for technology specialists and will address key conversations shaping the industry, with sessions such as The AI Tech Stack, The Architectural Shift and Standardisation vs Complexity.
  • Industry recognition: Presentation of the invidis Strategy Awards and launch of the invidis Yearbook.

 

The agenda and speaker line-up are now available on the official DSS app, downloadable from Google Play and the App Store. The application allows users to browse sessions and speakers, save favourites and manage their personal schedule.
