Sharp Display Solutions Europe showcased its airport display solutions at Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) 2026.

Designed for flight information display systems (FIDS), digital signage and operational control centres, these technologies combine reliability, flexibility and integration capabilities to meet the evolving demands of modern airport operations.

With more than 30 years of experience in the aviation sector and over 250 installations in airports worldwide, Sharp has developed a hardware and software ecosystem that enables efficient content management, real-time system monitoring and workflow optimisation. The company’s solutions are designed to meet the highest standards of safety, security and sustainability, helping airports modernise their visual communication infrastructure.

The technologies Sharp showcased at PTE range from LED solutions for high-impact visual surfaces to large-format professional LCD displays designed for continuous 24/7 operation in applications such as FIDS, wayfinding signage and control rooms.

These solutions are complemented by integrated computing platforms based on Raspberry Pi and SDM, enabling secure and scalable content deployment while easily integrating into existing airport infrastructures. Sharp also presented its ePaper displays, which offer low energy consumption and are suited to static signage applications such as gate information, check-in areas and wayfinding.

All these solutions have been developed to comply with the strict requirements of the airport sector, including fire safety regulations and electromagnetic compatibility, ensuring safe and reliable operation in highly demanding environments.
