Crestron launches its Modern Workplace Certification Path, now available online for workplace professionals.

The Crestron Modern Workplace Certification Path is a new program that covers everything needed to master the essential technology for the 2025 workplace. It is designed for workplace designers, sales teams, consultants, and IT and AV professionals.

The course covers the most important aspects of current technology, including:

• Fundamentals of Crestron control systems: Learn the basics of Crestron system architecture and configuration.
• Modern meeting solutions: Explore Crestron’s solutions for video conferencing, collaboration, and presentation technologies.
• AV-over-IP technologies: Dive into the world of AV-over-IP and discover how to leverage network infrastructure for flexible and scalable AV distribution solutions.
• User-centered workspace design: Learn best practices for creating intuitive, easy-to-use environments that enhance productivity and employee experience. This includes room design, technology integration, and user interface customization.

Now that the training is available online, Crestron spoke with Kyle Marles, the company’s Manager of Curriculum Development, in an episode of the Smarter Spaces podcast. The conversation explored not only the technical aspects of the program but also questions about its purpose and development: how modern work is defined and how the technologies and content included in the certification are determined.

The sessions include:

• Part 2 — Introduction to Automate VX: Explore the world of Automate VX, Crestron’s powerful platform for advanced video distribution and control. 

• AV-over-IP Technology: This two-part series delves into the details of AV-over-IP, offering a comprehensive understanding of this transformative innovation.

• Part 1 — Video and Audio: Discover the potential of video-over-IP for flexible and scalable video distribution. Explore the fundamentals of audio-over-IP and its applications in modern workplaces.

• Part 2 — USB: Learn how to integrate USB-over-IP for seamless connectivity and peripheral control.

The Crestron Modern Workplace Certification Path 2025 is now available for registered users through the Crestron Technical Institute (CTI) portal. This certification represents a key step within the company’s training pathway and can serve as a foundation for pursuing higher-level credentials, such as the prestigious Certified Technical Architect (CTA) designation, also offered by CTI, which may lead to a future invitation to Crestron Masters. In addition, the program is approved by AVIXA and awards five Renewal Units (RUs).
