The new microphone cable from Sommer cable combines advanced technology and high-strength materials.

The SC-AQUA MARINEX ARAMID MIKRO14 from Sommer cable remains hermetically sealed thanks to its special water-blocking tape, allowing permanent installation at depths of up to 20 m. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from amusement parks, sports arenas and wildlife parks to use in OB vans, coastal areas or boat building.Its 6.2 mm cable diameter fits perfectly with the strain relief system of the manufacturer’s HI-MARLIN connectors (art. HI-X3CM-HD-B and HI-X3CF-HD-B), jointly ensuring reliable watertightness according to IP67 standards. At the same time, the cable is very easy to handle and compatible with standard XLR connectors, without requiring any complicated maneuvers.

The outer jacket is resistant to salt water and fresh water, UV radiation and microorganisms, making it ideal for long-term outdoor use. The internal aramid fibers not only provide reliable strain relief —for example, when suspending microphones— but also offer additional protection against rodents.
