The company announces the launch of AcuSeek NVR, an innovative network video recorder system that incorporates the advanced large-scale AI models Guanlan, opening a new horizon in video image search and retrieval.

This solution is designed to tackle one of the biggest challenges in the security industry: the manual and laborious frame-by-frame review of recordings during incident investigations. Thanks to its ability to interpret natural language, the new AcuSeek NVR can find specific images and sequences in seconds, revolutionizing the search process with unprecedented efficiency.

Multimodal AI: towards more accurate and human-like text-based search

AcuSeek NVR leverages the power of Hikvision’s multimodal artificial intelligence models, trained with millions of parameters and vast datasets, to understand and correlate text and image contextually. This means users can enter descriptions such as “person talking on the phone”, “white van”, or “person walking a dog”, and the system will automatically identify and locate the video clips that match that description, semantically aligning the visual content with the query.

Four key capabilities that redefine industry standards

• Extended search: able to detect people, motorized and non-motorized vehicles, as well as specific objects such as suitcases, carts, or anomalous situations (like people without helmets in mandatory areas), adapting to multiple usage contexts.
• Precise search: intelligent feature alignment allows identification of subjects based on complex descriptions such as “person with a hat and dark clothing” or “child with a backpack”, minimizing false positives.
• Instant search: with responses in seconds, the system drastically reduces analysis time, resulting in greater agility in critical situations.
