Expanded M4350 portfolio for Pro AV and broadcast
The four new M4350 switches are designed to meet specific needs in the Pro AV market, particularly for live event and broadcast applications.
All models include advanced capabilities for any AV-over-IP deployment:
- Multi-color LED Port Identification: An innovative feature that displays user-selected colors on each port, matching the colors assigned in the NETGEAR AV OS™. This innovation allows technicians to easily identify which cables should be connected to which ports, simplifying deployment, reducing setup time, and minimizing errors.
- Enhanced SMPTE ST 2110 Support: All models include integrated grandmaster clock and boundary clock functions, essential for broadcast applications based on SMPTE ST 2110, while maintaining transparent clock capabilities across the M4350 and M4250 switch lines. This allows the switches to act as the primary timing source for a broadcast network.
- Secure Power Connection: A new mechanism that secures power cables to the chassis, preventing accidental disconnections during critical live events.
- TAA Compliancy: The models comply with strict government regulations under the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), ensuring that products originate from approved countries.

These new additions to the M4350 line demonstrate NETGEAR AV’s ongoing commitment to the specific needs of Pro AV and broadcast professionals. The enhanced SMPTE ST 2110 support and innovative features like multi-color LED port identification make these switches ideal for demanding applications where reliability and ease of deployment are essential, says Laurent Masia, Senior Director of Product Management for Managed Switches at NETGEAR.
