Sommer cable proudly announces the succession in its general management, marking a significant milestone in the company's history.

On October 1, 2024, Maximilian Blanck and Marie-Kathrin Huber will join the management team of the company based in Straubenhard. They will take the position of Friedhelm Sommer, co-founder and long-time CEO, who is retiring after a distinguished career.

The SOMMER family grows

Both, children of Rainer Blanck, co-founder and CEO of Sommer cable, have been closely connected to the company since a young age.

During his studies, Maximilian developed, among other things, the SYSBOXX configurator, a tool highly appreciated by customers. Since October 2023, he has been collaborating with management, the sales department, product management, and the IT area of Sommer cable, and has also played a key role in the launch of the company's new website. With his master's degree in Information Management from KIT Karlsruhe and his experience in an IT project consultancy, he brings the skills and knowledge necessary for Sommer cable to successfully face future challenges, especially in the digital area. After all, he is very familiar with concepts such as machine learning, AI, and IoT.

Marie-Kathrin Huber (née Blanck) also joined the company in August 2023. Thanks to her international studies (M.A.) and her extensive career in the cultural sector, she possesses great creativity and remarkable organizational talent. These skills provide a perfect foundation for her work in management, the HR department, and in marketing and sales, particularly in digital and social media areas.

Their inclusion in the management team strengthens the continuity, long-term vision, and family tradition that have defined the company since its founding, declares owner Rainer Blanck, who will continue as CEO.

The two authorized representatives, Andreas Bauer and Pascal Miguet, will also continue in their respective positions.

25 years of 'Simply good vibes'

Friedhelm Sommer, who co-founded the company with Rainer Blanck more than 25 years ago, leaves behind a successful business story. Under the leadership of both directors, Sommer cable has grown from a small business to a mid-sized company with international recognition, known for its quality and innovation.

The company celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. Here's to the coming years and a new generation with Simply good vibes.

The affiliated company SOMMER-TECHNIK is also preparing for a renewal of its management team. As of October 1, 2024, Maximilian Blanck will be appointed co-director alongside Bernd Heise, while Cedrik Haenel will take the position of authorized representative.
