Sony screens will be present in Stella McCartney stores to promote its Winter 2024 campaign.

In collaboration with fashion designer Stella McCartney, Sony announces that its range of professional BRAVIA displays—BZ40L, BZ35L, and BZ30J—has been deployed in 11 Stella McCartney flagship stores worldwide to digitize their storefronts and promote the Winter 2024 collection.

Since each flagship store required a different setup depending on the size and layout of the storefront, it was essential for Stella McCartney to implement a solution that could be easily installed while remaining flexible for future reconfigurations. Digital integrator Trison UK and Stella McCartney selected Sony’s professional BRAVIA displays for custom and flexible designs that adapt to the needs and layouts of their flagship stores.

Sony StellaMcCartney 3 HIBuilding on the existing collaboration between Sony and Stella McCartney—which began in early 2024 when Sony’s professional BRAVIA displays were used to showcase Stella McCartney’s Winter 2024 runway show during Paris Fashion Week and her sustainability manifesto in support of Mother Earth—Stella McCartney was already familiar with the premium quality and design of Sony’s BRAVIA professional displays. The BZ40L displays, featuring Deep Black Non-Glare coating technology, deliver incredible image quality while mitigating reflections, even in challenging lighting conditions, such as the bright and colorful facade of a store. Just like in Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show, the designer wanted a mix of screen sizes to maximize impact. The BZ30J offers stunning 4K image quality, exceptional color and contrast, and is available in a compact 32" size.

Our global Stella McCartney flagships showcase the essence of our brand and experience, so it was vital that the audiovisual solution could deliver the high-quality, premium image necessary to highlight the creative energy, fashion, and striking details of our Winter 2024 campaign. Sony’s technology not only helped bring our vision to life but also shares our values of sustainability and innovation, says Stella McCartney.

"Leveraging TRISON’s global presence to deliver a high-quality, professional, and first-class project and solution for Stella McCartney’s flagship stores was truly exciting for the entire team—something only TRISON, working with a brand like Sony and its impressive BZ range, could achieve", says Peter Critchley, CEO of TRISON UK.

Following the success of Stella McCartney’s Winter 2024 runway show during Paris Fashion Week, it has been a privilege to collaborate once again with the designer in her new stores, using technology as the central element to promote her Winter 2024 collection. We take pride in the exceptional image quality and top-tier technology offered by our BRAVIA professional displays—all while keeping sustainability in mind from the initial concept to installation, says Mark Stanborough, Business Development Director at Sony Europe.

Sustainability at the core of our partnership

As a progressive luxury brand, Stella McCartney has always been forward-thinking. The brand strives to create products with the lowest possible environmental impact while taking responsibility for the resources used and their impact on people, animals, and the planet. Addressing biodiversity degradation and climate change requires the entire fashion industry to work toward transformations that positively affect our ecosystem as a whole.Sony StellaMcCartney 2 HIEqually aware of its environmental impact and that of its products, the Sony Group is committed to sustainability, from development to the visual experience. Sony is implementing a long-term environmental plan called Road to Zero, aiming to build a sustainable society with the goal of achieving zero environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle and business activities by 2050. Staying true to these goals, Sony is increasing the percentage of recycled materials in its devices without compromising design or durability. The group has reduced overall virgin plastic usage by up to 60% through the use of Sony-developed SORPLAS™ material. Beyond recycled plastics, Sony is accelerating its efforts by reducing product energy consumption, eliminating plastic packaging for newly designed small products, and introducing renewable energy solutions.

Fifteen BRAVIA Professional Display models (including the BZ40L series) incorporate these sustainable elements, from the use of highly recycled SORPLAS™ plastic to reduced ink usage on packaging, as well as an optional stand to minimize waste and an Eco dashboard for better understanding of energy consumption based on user settings.
