Casa Mia is a popular Italian restaurant located in the beautiful city of Lillestrom, Norway.

Managed by Antonio Lepore, originally from southern Italy and with over forty years of experience in the hospitality industry, the restaurant offers traditional Italian cuisine as well as a variety of international dishes in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.

As an experienced restaurateur, Antonino is aware of the importance of high-quality audio in creating the perfect ambiance for his customers, and earlier this year, he decided to install a new sound system in his establishment.

To achieve this, the restaurant hired local technology specialists Norsk Tele og Data to install a solution, who in turn consulted with AV specialist distributor CBK on the best approach. After a site visit and a meeting with the owner, Per-Øystein Berglund from CBK recommended speakers and subsequently designed a system for the venue. He explains:

The goal was to create background music that spread like a 'carpet' of sound throughout the restaurant, focusing on excellent coverage without being intrusive. I didn’t encounter phase issues in achieving this using multiple speakers, as the soft furnishings and customers provide good sound absorption in the seating areas. We chose these speakers for their multiple strengths. They are well designed to blend with the interiors and deliver excellent sound from the start. They were easy to adjust in the restaurant to provide warmth and clarity at relatively low levels.

CasaMia 5 HINorsk Tele og Data installed 12 wall-mounted speakers in the lower area of the venue and another 14 to cover most of the upper level. In the remaining area of the upper floor, where the ceiling is lower, 4 speakers were installed.

“The solution provided an extremely cost-effective system that offers great value for its investment. I believe they are very satisfied with the performance of their new system”, concludes Per-Oystein Berglund.
