Digital Signage Summit 2026 closes an edition marked by discussions on AI and market consolidation.

From AI-driven platform strategies to cybersecurity, orchestration and industry consolidation, this year’s edition of the Digital Signage Summit (DSS) examined the forces actively reshaping how digital signage and DOOH (Digital Out of Home) networks are designed, managed and scaled.

In its 20th anniversary year, DSS 2026 reinforced its role not only as a conference but also as a strategic meeting point for the global digital signage industry. The event highlighted the pace at which the sector is evolving and why leadership dialogue has never been more important.

Over two days, executives, technology leaders, strategists and innovators from across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa (MEA), and other regions discussed how the sector is adapting during a period of significant transformation.

Organised by invidis consulting in collaboration with Integrated Systems Events (ISE), this year’s summit centred on the concept of NextGen Signage, focusing on how the industry is evolving beyond traditional hardware-led models towards increasingly software-driven, platform-based and service-oriented ecosystems.

Keynote presentations, panel discussions, spotlight sessions and networking activities highlighted issues related to strategic direction, operational resilience and long-term value creation. Discussions around industry consolidation, acquisitions and changing market dynamics underscored how rapidly the competitive landscape is shifting and the growing importance of strategic positioning for companies across the sector.

The new breakout session formats introduced at DSS 2026 proved successful, attracting strong attendance across both days and creating additional opportunities for focused discussions and more direct audience engagement. Networking events and informal meeting formats further strengthened DSS’s reputation as a leadership forum focused on peer exchange and strategic dialogue.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director of Integrated Systems Events, said:

What makes DSS unique is the calibre of people and conversations taking place throughout the event. DSS brings together the professionals actively shaping the future of digital signage and creates an environment for meaningful discussion, collaboration and long-term strategic thinking.

Florian Rotberg, Founder and Managing Director of invidis consulting, added:

This year’s summit showed just how much the industry has changed. There is a clear sense that the sector is entering a new phase. Companies are no longer discussing what might happen one day; they are making strategic decisions now about platforms, artificial intelligence, operations and long-term scalability. There has been a noticeable shift in priorities, from rapid growth to making the right decisions for the future.
