signageOS strengthens its international digital signage strategy with James Hart leading global marketing.
signageOS, the company specialising in software infrastructure for digital signage, continues to strengthen its international positioning with James Hart as Global Head of Marketing, a role he has held since October 2025.
Hart brings more than 25 years of experience in technology and telecommunications companies including Jabra, AVG, BlackBerry (RIM), T-Mobile UK, BT, Honeywell and Cable & Wireless, where he held a variety of senior positions in marketing and international business development.
Beyond the executive’s career background, the appointment highlights a company seeking to differentiate itself within the digital signage market through an approach focused on open infrastructure, remote management and cross-platform compatibility.
Unlike other vendors focused on CMS platforms or proprietary hardware, signageOS defines itself as an infrastructure platform for digital signage networks, designed to simplify the management and deployment of devices from different manufacturers through a single environment.
One of the company's key strengths is its hardware-agnostic approach, which enables operation across more than 50 hardware platforms and operating systems through a single management layer and unified APIs.
The platform is structured around a range of tools aimed at integrators, developers and signage network operators. Among them is CloudControl, a real-time monitoring and remote management solution for digital signage devices that enables status monitoring, remote actions, operational automation and large-scale deployment management from a single interface.
The company also offers DevSpace, a tool designed for the development of cross-platform signage applications using HTML5, reducing the need to create specific versions for each operating system or hardware manufacturer.
Another area highlighted by signageOS is its operational automation and advanced monitoring capabilities for signage networks, including remote diagnostics, screenshot capture, real-time alerts and centralised management of distributed devices.
The company currently reports more than 165,000 connected devices and support for over 50 hardware platforms, working with integrators, CMS providers and digital signage network operators worldwide.
