Legrand | AV will host a full day of professional training during InfoComm 2026.
The Legrand | AV Pro Training Day, taking place on June 16, will bring together experts from across the company’s brands and partner ecosystem to share practical insights into the technologies shaping modern AV deployments.
The programme includes six expert-led sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence in AV environments, AV-over-IP deployment, accessibility design, cloud-based device management and dvLED technology. Each session qualifies for 1 AVIXA continuing education unit (RU).
Education has always been a core part of how we support the AV industry. Our Pro Training Day brings together experts from multiple disciplines to share immediately applicable knowledge, from AI integration in AV system design to remote management, cloud monitoring and accessibility design, said Wade Johnston, Sr. Manager – Learning and Development at Legrand | AV.
Pro Training Day schedule — Tuesday, June 16, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Room W205-6:
- 8:00–9:00 – Legrand: AI in the AV Industry – Foundations, Applications, and Impact. Blake Brubaker and Bob Griffin, Technical Sales Application Engineers at Legrand | AV, will introduce AI concepts and real-world applications in commercial AV, including machine vision, predictive analytics and edge computing.
- 9:30–10:30 – Legrand: Designing AV Spaces with ADA in Mind. Alan Jacobson (Legrand | AV), Luke Westin and Tony Braun (Williams AV) will explore ADA requirements and best practices for designing accessible and inclusive AV environments.
- 11:00–12:00 – Legrand: Scope of Work – Make a Statement with Your Work!. Wade Johnston (Legrand | AV) and Kevin Schornhorst (AVI-SPL) will provide guidance on developing effective Statements of Work (SOW) for AV projects, including scope definition, stakeholder alignment and preventing scope creep.
- 13:00–14:00 – Legrand: How to Plan and Deploy AVoIP Systems. Wade Johnston and Joshua Crosby (Legrand | AV) will present a roadmap for designing and deploying reliable, scalable AV-over-IP systems through network planning, documentation and collaboration.
- 14:30–15:30 – Legrand: Connected Intelligence – AI and Remote Monitoring in the Cloud. Steven Hoenig (Legrand | AV) and Andrew Gross (Xyte.ai) will examine how AI and cloud-based remote monitoring are transforming AV system management.
- 16:00–17:00 – Legrand: dvLED in the AV Industry – Design, Deployment, and Impact. David Albright (Legrand | AV) and Ken Summers (Absen) will provide practical guidance on designing and deploying dvLED video walls, covering structural planning, alignment, workflows and integration.
Training beyond the event
The Pro Training Day is part of Legrand | AV’s commitment to professional education through AV University, its online platform offering year-round courses and certifications.
At InfoComm 2026, this educational programme complements Legrand | AV’s presence at booth C7800, where brands including C2G, Chief, Connectrac, Da-Lite, Luxul, Middle Atlantic, On-Q, Vaddio and Wiremold will be showcased, with solutions for sectors such as higher education, government, retail and corporate environments.
