Hikvision transforms the plenary hall of the Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce with state-of-the-art LED technology.
The Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce continues to undergo a modernization process of its facilities following the fire suffered in 2023. One of the most notable milestones has been the complete upgrade of the audiovisual equipment in its iconic plenary hall.
Thanks to the collaboration between technology integrator HubTech and Hikvision, a dual LED display solution using Chip On Board (COB) technology has been implemented, elevating the visual experience to a new level in just two weeks.
A historic space, a cutting-edge solution
The objective was clear: to improve the quality of presentations and the visual experience without altering the aesthetics of this representative institutional space.
We were looking for a more modern and efficient system that would offer optimal visibility from any angle, even with the lights on, explains Alicia Caballero Sanz, Events Manager at the Chamber.
The adopted solution consisted of installing two large-format LED displays measuring 3x1.7 meters each, featuring COB technology and a 1.5 pixel pitch, enabling sharp and uniform viewing from any point in the room. The new system replaces the previous projectors, significantly improving visual quality and delivering a modern, professional institutional image.
Technical challenges successfully addressed
This project presented two key challenges:
- Tight deadlines: the entire installation had to be completed within two weeks.
- Aesthetic integration: the technology needed to adapt to a historic building without compromising its heritage value.
The close collaboration between HubTech and Hikvision’s Pro AV team made it possible to successfully overcome both challenges. On one hand, equipment was supplied promptly thanks to Hikvision’s local stock availability. On the other, custom structures were designed with a thickness of less than 3 cm, compatible with the building’s noble materials, and a full Hikvision ecosystem (displays, controllers, and receiving cards) was selected, simplifying installation and reducing setup time.
Hikvision technology driving the transformation
Hugo Sahuquillo, Pro AV Channel Sales at Hikvision, explains that “the combination of COB displays with proprietary controllers enables a fast, simple, and guided installation. This integration greatly facilitates the work of the integrator and ensures a smooth experience for the end user”. In addition, the immediate availability of equipment from Hikvision was a key factor in meeting the project’s demanding deadlines.
Results visible from day one
Since its commissioning, the new system has received very positive feedback. “All clients who visit are impressed by the new displays. Visibility is perfect from any angle”, notes Alicia Caballero.
The installation has brought about a radical transformation in both the visual quality of the space and the institutional image of the Chamber.
A new standard for institutional spaces
The Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce has successfully transformed its plenary hall into a visually advanced, functional environment that respects its historic architecture. The use of cutting-edge LED technology, close technical support, and rapid execution have marked a before-and-after in the experience of presentations and institutional events.
The lightweight (<17.5kg/m2) and slim profile (<3cm depth) of our 5th-generation Hikvision cabinets were key factors in the success of this project, making the solution even more effective for the client, concludes Hugo Sahuquillo, Pro AV Channel Sales at Hikvision.
