The Tempo™ Floor Support Mount is the evolution of Chief’s AVSFSS, redesigned based on customer feedback.
Chief, a brand of Legrand | AV, has introduced Tempo™, its new floor support mount for large-format displays, an evolution of its well-known AVSFSS mounting solution. It has been redesigned based on direct feedback from customers and installers to address the needs of today’s audiovisual installations.
The new solution addresses one of the most common challenges in AV projects: uncertainty about wall strength. To solve this, Tempo features a dual-column structure that transfers the display’s weight directly to the floor, eliminating the need for wall reinforcement or additional supports while ensuring precise alignment and long-term stability.
Designed for installations with increasingly larger displays, the mount supports single displays up to 98 inches and 90.7 kg, and is compatible with VESA patterns from 200 × 200 to 800 × 600 mm. With optional accessories, it can also support XL displays, ultrawide 21:9 screens or dual-display configurations up to 98 inches.
Tempo is also designed as a comprehensive solution for mounting and storing AV equipment. The system includes the display mount, universal video bar mounts and PET felt front panels, with the option to add lockable wooden doors for a more premium aesthetic integration, matching Middle Atlantic furniture finishes.
The integrated compartment allows small AV components to be housed, while two Lever Lock panels measuring 15 × 10 inches provide 2 rack units (2U) of capacity. An internal cable channel supports clean cable management and, optionally, the Middle Atlantic PD-715SC-NS power strip can be added to simplify power integration and speed up system deployment.
To facilitate installation in different environments, the mount includes adjustable cabinet depth, allowing it to accommodate baseboards, moldings or other wall protrusions. In addition, the display mount interfaces provide ±9.5 mm of level adjustment, helping installers achieve precise alignment during installation.
From a design perspective, Tempo features a clean, architectural aesthetic, available in two finishes: black with charcoal gray PET felt or white with silver gray PET felt. Lockable wooden doors are also available as an option for projects requiring a more refined visual integration.
