Xchange LIVE focuses on AI ethics, collaboration design and APAC growth.

AVIXA Xchange LIVE, held at ISE 2026, has brought together industry professionals during this edition to examine three strategic areas already shaping the evolution of the audiovisual market: the ethics and regulation of artificial intelligence, user-focused collaboration solution design, and growth opportunities in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

The format, built around practical content and networking, has strengthened its role as a meeting point for integrators, manufacturers, consultants and technology decision-makers from different regions.

One of the main themes has been the growing regulatory pressure surrounding the use of AI in public spaces and corporate environments. The session  Beyond Face Recognition: Ethical & Effective AI in Public Displays explored how regulatory frameworks in the United States and the European Union are shaping the deployment of technologies based on biometrics, video analytics and identification. The discussion compared references such as state-level biometric privacy laws in the U.S.—including Illinois’ BIPA and Texas’ new AI law—with the European framework defined by the EU AI Act and GDPR, highlighting the need for integrators and systems leaders to embed compliance, transparency and data governance requirements by design.AVIXA XchangeLIVE 2 HIIn parallel, the session Human Centric Design for Effective Collaboration shifted the focus to a very specific challenge for the professional market: how to design collaboration experiences that truly work in day-to-day operations. The panel argued that, at a time when AI tools, advanced conferencing solutions and hybrid environments are proliferating, success no longer depends solely on technology, but on alignment with real user behaviours, security, ease of adoption and operational continuity. In this context, the role of the integrator was highlighted as key to bringing AV, IT and cybersecurity together within a single design.

The third block, Unlocking APAC: Your Gateway to Asia’s AV Boom, addressed the potential of Asia-Pacific as one of the most dynamic markets for the AV sector, particularly in areas such as collaboration, corporate environments, digital signage, immersive experiences and large-scale infrastructure. The conversation provided insights into how to access these markets, what differences exist in business models, what types of partnerships are typically required, and what strategies enable sustainable presence and growth in the region.

Beyond the sessions, Xchange LIVE maintained a strong networking component, designed to facilitate connections with international experts and professionals, especially for those looking to build an entry or expansion strategy in APAC.

Overall, the space reflected a clear trend across the sector: AV integration is moving towards a landscape where regulation, user-centred design and global strategy matter as much as technological innovation.
