Intersec 2026 expands to meet record demand and support the UAE’s vision for a safer future.
Intersec 2026 will be the show’s largest edition to date, adding 11,859 m² of exhibition space to host more than 1,400 exhibitors from over 60 countries across five core product sectors. The programme reflects the growing convergence of electronic security, cybersecurity and connected technologies protecting both digital and physical infrastructure.
Messe Frankfurt Middle East has announced the first details of the 27th edition of Intersec, taking place from 12 to 14 January 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The organiser confirmed an expanded show floor in response to record global demand across security, safety and fire protection, with particular relevance for systems integrators working at the intersection of physical security, networking, software and operational resilience.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Intersec is expected to attract record numbers, with more than 1,400 exhibitors from over 60 countries and over 50,000 professional visitors. To accommodate this growth, the exhibition footprint will increase by nearly 12,000 m² — a 13% expansion enabled by the addition of two halls — bringing the total gross exhibition area to 67,000 m².
The 2026 edition will feature an expanded programme and upgraded show features designed to strengthen emergency response capabilities and secure infrastructure at scale. In practice, this means a stronger focus on technologies already shaping projects across commercial buildings, smart cities, transport, critical sites and industrial facilities: IP-based security platforms, AI-driven analytics, centralised command-and-control, and the integration of surveillance, access control and cybersecurity with enterprise networks and IT/OT environments.
The event will bring together international leaders presenting new technologies and market-ready solutions aligned with the UAE’s ambition for a safe and sustainable future. The country was ranked the world’s safest in 2025 by global data aggregator Numbeo.

Intersec 2026 will be structured around five updated product sectors: homeland security and policing, cybersecurity, commercial and perimeter security, fire and rescue, and health and safety — reflecting the increasingly interconnected nature of modern risk management. Across these areas, the event will combine immersive demonstrations, product launches, technical sessions and networking. Returning exhibitors include Hikvision, Hanwha, Transguard, Genetec, Gunnebo, Salto and TP-Link, alongside national pavilions from the UK, Germany, Singapore, Italy, France and Sweden, among others.
Intersec 2026 will also offer a conference programme addressing priority issues for the sector. Sessions within the International Security Leaders Summit, the Fire & Rescue Conference, the Health & Safety Conference, the Access Control Theatre and the SIRA Forum will cover topics ranging from AI in policing and predictive analytics for emergency response, to workforce protection in high-risk environments and smart infrastructure security. For integrators and consultants, the agenda will also reflect the operational reality of today’s deployments: compliance, risk governance, secure-by-design architectures and the growing need to protect both networked endpoints and the data they generate.
In line with national objectives including the 1 Billion Readiness initiative — aimed at training and raising awareness among one billion people worldwide on safety and fire risk prevention — Passive Fire Day, hosted by the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), will highlight progress in passive fire protection and resilience standards.
