Crest Audio has announced full compatibility of its renowned CPL+ loudspeaker range with EASE and CLF2 software.
The company, a division of Peavey Commercial Audio, has expanded the capabilities of its latest CPL+ loudspeaker series with full support for the integration of EASE (Enhanced Acoustic Simulator for Engineers) and CLF2 (Common Loudspeaker Format) data.
This development allows AV consultants, system designers, and integrators to access accurate, manufacturer-verified data for use in predictive acoustic modelling, coverage mapping, and design validation — all essential steps within today’s data-driven installation workflows.
The CPL+ series combines tour-grade components, robust enclosures, and refined voicing to deliver high output, clarity, and reliability in demanding environments. Designed for both fixed installations and mobile reinforcement, the range includes full-range models and subwoofers, offering multiple coverage and configuration options for a wide variety of applications.
Now, with EASE and CLF2 enabled, each CPL+ loudspeaker ships with comprehensive GLL and CF2 files, allowing users to run detailed simulations in EASE 5, EASE 4, and CLF Viewer, as well as most CLF-compatible simulation software, providing:
- 3D balloon plots and polar curves for precise directivity analysis
- Frequency and phase response plots validated to industry standards
- Comparative overlays to match CPL+ models against other manufacturers
- Accurate SPL coverage and STI mapping when used in EASE-modelled venues
Integration with EASE and CLF2 ensures that CPL+ is not only powerful in performance but also predictable in system design. We know consultants and designers depend on reliable data. Now they can drop CPL+ directly into their modelling software and trust that what they see in simulation will be what they get in the room. The combination of verified acoustic data, robust hardware design, and installation flexibility means CPL+ loudspeakers can be specified with confidence across diverse projects — from live music venues and auditoriums to corporate AV systems, educational environments, and leisure spaces, said Christoph Sesseck, Sales Manager for Peavey Commercial Audio (EMEA).
By supporting both EASE and CLF2, Crest Audio reinforces its commitment to open data standards, enabling consultants to model, compare, and specify CPL+ products with the same confidence as any professional loudspeaker brand.
The CPL+ range includes six two-way full-range enclosures, two coaxial models, and two column arrays, featuring high-quality woofers paired with a high-frequency driver for exceptional clarity and output. With options for constant-directivity horns or, in selected models, rotatable horns, the series ensures optimal pattern control for precise coverage in any environment.
Completing the series, the various subwoofers deliver efficient low-frequency performance with deep extension and tight, controlled punch. The models are designed for maximum versatility, with flying, pole-mount, and bracket-mount options, making them suitable for both permanent installations and portable sound applications.
The enclosures are available in a black or white finish, built from birch plywood with integrated rigging points, ensuring durability and easy integration into theatres, clubs, houses of worship, arenas, stadium concourses, and multipurpose halls.
