Barco announces its participation in World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Under the theme Designing Future Society for Our Lives, Barco plays a pivotal role in enhancing the visitor experience across several pavilions, showcasing its state‑of‑the‑art visualization technology.

The World Expo 2025, held on Yumeshima, an island in Osaka Bay, runs from 13 April to 13 October 2025. It is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors, including 3.5 million from overseas. The venue features water‑themed areas, relaxation zones, and spacious outdoor event spaces, offering an unforgettable experience for all attendees.As announced in September 2024, Barco was chosen to be part of the consortium of creative and technological leaders supporting the Belgian pavilion’s Human Regeneration narrative. The Expo’s overarching theme, Designing Future Society for Our Lives, focuses on addressing global challenges through innovations in healthcare, sustainability, and technology. As a benchmark in medical imaging and immersive experiences, Barco is uniquely positioned to co‑create a top‑tier visual experience in the Belgian pavilion centred on the sub‑theme Saving Lives.

Equipped with twenty‑four I600 projectors and three UDX units, the Belgian pavilion’s visitor journey promises to captivate audiences through a blend of cutting‑edge technology and artistic direction. Barco is also enhancing the pavilion’s meeting rooms with two ClickShare units, ensuring seamless and efficient collaboration. During the Health and Well‑being theme week, the Healthcare team will showcase its latest innovation in autostereoscopic 3D technology for medical applications.

Barco’s projection division is also present in other international pavilions. The Algeria pavilion features four G50 units; the Taiwan Trade Center employs eleven F80 and four UDM projectors; the Tunisia pavilion incorporates twenty‑four G62 units; and the India Industry Group has installed three UDM devices. Barco’s G62 projectors are likewise used on one of the event’s pop‑up stages. Barco has a dedicated on‑site technical team providing exclusive support, ensuring immediate response and the fastest resolution of any issues.
