The XLR HICON PRO+ connectors, optimized in a conductive metal housing, reliably protect their interior from external factors.
External interference signals are optimally shielded, while signal losses are reduced to a minimum.
Along with the proven SC-SOURCE MKII HIGHFLEX studio microphone cable (art. 200-0101), which is specially designed to withstand interference from electrical sources, SOMMER CABLE offers a perfectly protected interconnect cable (art. SCCF) for the demanding radio and studio technician.
The cable has a cross-sectional area of 2 x 0.25 mm² and is made with the finest 0.05 mm OFC copper strands. It is very easy to wind and guarantees a high number of bending cycles. Its double shielding of aluminized fleece and a copper spiral ensures a 100% optical coverage. Additionally, the fleece has been vapor-deposited on both sides with a conductive aluminum layer; this guarantees that the 100% shielding remains intact even under intensive use and that the cable remains absolutely free of noise and crackling even in harsh conditions.
Perfect for environments where electrical sources could interfere with the transfer of audio and data. The XLR HICON PRO+ connectors are available in 3- and 5-pin versions and, optionally, with silver or gold contacts. They feature a robust nickel-plated or black conductive metal housing with a metal cover.
All variants are equipped with a transparent coding ring that allows for subsequent individual labeling. The 6-jaw mandrel-type strain relief ensures secure cable attachment, reliably holding cables with a diameter of 4.0 to 8.0 mm. The 3-pin gold-plated versions also include an additional strain relief for cables of smaller diameters, from 2.5 to 6.5 mm.
