Exclusive interview at ISE 2025 with Michael Bridwell, Commercial Audio Vice President of Atlas IED.

Bridwell detailed the technological innovations that were transforming commercial AV applications. The company highlighted its Atmosphere platform, which integrates DSP, amplifiers, and accessories to offer versatile, high-performance audio solutions. Additionally, the IsoFlare technology was introduced, ensuring uniform sound in various environments and facilitating the work of integrators.

What new innovations were showcased at the event?

Of course. For Atlas IED, the core of all our commercial AV applications began at the center. In our case, that center was Atmosphere, which is a DSP platform combined with amplifiers and an incredible variety of accessories. All of this allowed our integrators and clients to build amazing commercial AV applications from the ground up.

Based on Atmosphere, both high-performance audio and more economical options were offered, depending on the specific needs of the client. If it was just low-quality background music, many solutions were available for that. But if it was an application where the music was truly important and needed to stand out—whether in hospitality, high-end retail, or other spaces—then high-performance solutions were provided. In fact, new Performance Audio products were launched at the fair.

What were the competitive advantages of the products on display?

At this fair, in particular, our IsoFlare driver technology was showcased, which allowed any of our solutions—from ceiling-mounted speakers to the new surface-mount models presented here—to share the same driver components.

This means they offer a uniform sound (shared voicing), so that products can be installed on a ceiling at 3 meters high and then extended to the exterior of an application without any noticeable differences in sound quality. Thanks to the use of the same components, our integrators can save a lot of time in system configuration.

What were your overall impressions of ISE 2025, as the last day of the fair approached?

It was incredible to see how an event like that continued to grow. There was talk of over 880,000 attendees at the fair, which was impressive. The fact that it was held at the beginning of the year, along with its constant growth, made it one of the most exciting events in any industry.

What were the highlights of the event?

For us, the most important thing was being able to spend time with our clients. We wanted them to get to know us and for us to understand their needs and expectations. It was always fun being there with the team, but what was truly valued was that direct contact with the clients, and the experience exceeded all our expectations.

Anything else you would like to add?

Of course. I just want to emphasize that we were very focused on our partners. We are a private company and we prioritize relationships with our clients. If someone is looking to establish a true alliance with a speaker manufacturer, we would love to be their solution, whether in airports, hospitality, retail, or large-scale installations—even small bars. We would love to be their choice.

Additionally…

One of the highlights presented here at ISE 2025 was our recent acquisition of Aim Line, a legendary German company specialized in beam steering (active sound beam direction).

Aim Line's offices became Atlas IED Europe, serving as our headquarters on the continent. The entire team joined us and, together, this product was showcased here at the fair.

It is a technology for active sound direction in modular columns, scalable up to 64 units, which are also very easy to connect with each other. This allows for solving complex acoustic challenges, from large rooms with heavy reverberation, such as sanctuaries and large-scale installations, to smaller spaces where sound needs to be directed precisely without being wasted in unnecessary reflections. It is a truly effective solution for difficult acoustic problems.

Atlas IED reaffirmed its commitment to excellence and collaboration, positioning itself as a leader in innovation in the field of audio. With the strategic incorporation of Aim Line and its beam steering technology, the company set a new milestone in the development of advanced solutions to address current acoustic challenges.
