KNX Association announces the new Executive Board that will lead the next phase of global growth.

At its Executive Board Meeting held on 16 February 2026, KNX Association confirmed the new composition of its Executive Board (KEB).

This body defines the strategic direction and sets the technical and commercial priorities of the association. It represents more than 500 KNX Members and supports the interests of over 140,000 KNX Partners active in 190 countries worldwide.

Several new members have joined, strengthening the Board’s expertise and international perspective. At the same time, the current leadership team — President Jean-Christophe Krieger (Schneider Electric) and Vice President Klaus Wächter (Siemens Switzerland) — will continue in their roles. Executive Board members are elected for a five-year term.

Renewed mandate to drive innovation and deliver peace of mind

President Jean-Christophe Krieger expressed his appreciation for the renewed confidence:

I am proud that the new KEB members have reaffirmed their trust in me by electing me as President for the next five years, alongside Klaus as Vice President. I look forward to continuing this exciting journey, dedicating my time, energy and commitment to strengthening the KNX ecosystem, promoting decarbonisation and driving greater simplicity and innovation for stakeholders across the value chain.

Vice President Klaus Wächter also welcomed his re-election and highlighted the importance of the coming years:

I will remain committed to strengthening and continuously developing both the KNX standard and the association itself. Energy management is a clear example of how KNX, even after more than 30 years, continues to evolve and remain closely aligned with market demands. The momentum in this field is evident, and significant developments are expected in the coming months.

A strengthened Executive Board to drive global strategy

The KNX Executive Board now comprises 17 members, up from 14, bringing together senior executives from internationally recognised companies in the building automation sector. As the central strategic body of KNX Association, it defines the long-term direction of the standard, oversees global initiatives and ensures that KNX continues to respond to evolving market needs.

Thanks to the combined technical, commercial and strategic expertise of its members, the Board contributes to consolidating KNX’s position as an international reference in open standards for smart home and smart building automation.
