Equipson launches its new LightShark X Series at InfoComm 2025, a line of professional DMX/RDM control devices.

The first products in this series, the NODE 6X and NODE 12X, have been designed to offer maximum compatibility, advanced connectivity, and full configurability for demanding lighting applications.

Both nodes respectively offer 6 and 12 DMX universes, with full support for RDM E1.20, ArtNet, and sACN, and allow adjustment of the refresh rate between 15 and 44 Hz. Each port is independently configurable as input or output, enabling bidirectional conversion between Ethernet and DMX, as well as flexible DMX512 signal routing to ArtNet and sACN.

Advanced connectivity and control

The new nodes include PoE power (802.3af, modes A and B) and a direct current input of 100–277 VAC, 50/60 Hz via TrueOne connector. For applications requiring long-distance transmission, the NODE 6X and 12X feature fiber optic connectivity (LC duplex connector).

The local user interface includes an LCD screen, rotary dial, and escape button, with lock option, and can be remotely managed through an integrated web server. The device supports advanced network configuration (IP, mask, gateway) with support for 10/100/1000 Base-TX and DHCP.

Key features include:

• Internal DMX recorder with capacity for 5 scenes
• Trigger port (5 GPI inputs) to activate scenes or presets, also configurable as alarm input
• HTP, LTP, Backup, and Switch merge modes
• Preset system to save/restore complete operating configuration
• Integrated DMX and network monitor, useful as a real-time diagnostic tool

New RDM devices and improvements to the existing range

In addition to the X Series, LightShark announces the launch of the new RDM X splitter, a 5-pin DMX distributor compatible with RDM E1.20, with selectable 1x12 or 2x6 operating modes via button. It integrates controls for RDM bypass and activation of a 120 Ohm termination load, and offers electrical isolation up to 1000V between inputs, outputs, and between ports.

The new RDM4 is also being launched, a compact four-port DMX splitter, in the same ultra-compact chassis as the NODE 1, 2, and 4. It includes RDM bypass, 120 Ohm termination, full isolation, and pass-thru type operation.

Finally, the NODE 1, 2, and 4 models receive a design update with reinforced chassis, direct truss-mount installation via clamp, Kensington lock for added security, and a new configuration web server now supporting custom subnet masks.
