The Brad Sousa Impact Fund, organized by the AVIXA Foundation, is accepting scholarship applications until May 5, 2025.
The recipients will be presented at InfoComm 2025 in Orlando, Florida.
The fund was established to honor the profound legacy of the late Brad Sousa, chief technology officer of AVI Systems and member of AVIXA’s board of directors. In both his personal and professional life, Brad lived with love—not merely in words or speeches, but through consistent, meaningful action. He was known for saying, “Influence is the counterfeit of impact”. He was committed to making a difference in everything he did, personally and professionally.
Continuing Brad’s legacy, the Brad Sousa Impact Fund aims to support the AVIXA Foundation’s global mission through impact investments and collaborations, with a key focus on developing audiovisual and digital-transformation professionals and understanding their shared needs.
Through digital transformation, organizations and communities embed technologies into our society to create meaningful impact and foster fundamental change.
The Brad Sousa Impact Fund will award scholarships to:
- Individuals pursuing educational and professional outcomes.
- Socially conscious, purpose-driven programs that impact society, community, and culture.
- Collaborations that strengthen the mission of associations, communities, and non-profit organizations.
