InfoComm 2025 shows how pro AV technology is innovating learning spaces.
The event, taking place from June 7 to 13 (exhibits from June 11 to 13) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, demonstrates how pro AV technology is transforming learning spaces, creating more attractive, interactive and effective learning environments.
Throughout the exhibition, attendees have the opportunity to explore AV solutions for K-12 educational settings, higher education and corporate training, encompassing both physical and virtual spaces. A comprehensive educational program includes the HETMA Higher Education Summit, featuring experts in AV solutions for learning environments and technology directors from higher education institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, The Ohio State University and UCLA. In addition, the Integrated Experience tours at the University of Central Florida showcase the latest technology across the campus.

The HETMA Higher Education Summit is a two-day workshop, held on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, that brings together thought leaders and subject matter experts to examine topics such as ethics and accessibility, security and the zero trust concept, and successful capital planning, through an extensive program of panels and interactive sessions. Registered attendees of the HETMA Higher Education Summit receive a free ticket for the higher education AV awards held on Monday night.
During InfoComm week, more activities focused on pro AV innovation in learning spaces are developed.
In the session How to Go Big on AV at a Small School on Wednesday, June 11, AV professionals from five smaller higher education institutions discuss the challenge of achieving more with less. They offer advice on practical AV/IT solutions that attendees can implement at their own colleges and universities.
On Thursday, June 12, the session Next-Gen Learning: The AI Frontier in AV/IT Solutions explores the transformative influence of generative AI in educational settings. The panel addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by generative AI, as well as its application and innovation in AV/IT, which is currently redefining the educational landscape. The session features panelists from UCLA, USC, Crestron, Huddly, Panasonic and Shure.
In Classroom Design Lab: Unlock the Future of AV Design with Hands-On Expertise, held on Wednesday, June 11, IT and AV specialists from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Prairie View A&M University present an immersive analysis of the transformative power of strategic AV design. The session provides advice on how to develop future-proof learning spaces using innovative AV design, connectivity and programming for classrooms, collaborative areas and flexible learning environments. A hands-on lab session allows attendees to gain direct experience with the technology.
George Johnson-Gamm and Jason Mathews, IT and AV specialists from The Ohio State University, present From Hodgepodge to Future-Focused Through Small (and Affordable) AV Upgrades at Scale on Wednesday, June 11. They demonstrate how the university’s engineering faculty transformed 11 departmental IT offices into a centralized resource, only to later face budgetary issues that halted projects during and after the pandemic. They discuss how they are now adapting to the changing needs of faculty and students, and to a limited budget, through a BYOD approach.
At the technology innovation stage, the free session Trend Forecast: Learning on Wednesday, June 11 delves into the latest trends in learning technologies, examining how gamification, virtual/augmented reality and social learning platforms are reshaping classrooms and making learning interactive and engaging.
The floor tours, led by Ryan Gray from Yavapai College, allow attendees to experience the latest trends and technological products to enhance learning spaces, such as camera innovation, cloud technology, cybersecurity, live streaming and audio. These tours take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 and Thursday, June 12.
InfoComm organizes two Integrated Experience tours at the University of Central Florida on Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11, with members of the university’s Instructional Resources team. Tour participants have the opportunity to discover what happens behind the scenes at UCF’s Charge on Chamber, a hybrid meeting space equipped for 107 people with an electronic voting system; visit an ongoing classroom installation of a fully Crestron-controlled multimedia system; explore the campus; and participate in an informal Q&A session with the AV/IT team.
