FORO SICUR 2024 revolves around three sectors: security, fire safety and emergencies, and occupational safety.

SICUR 2024, the International Security Exhibition organized by IFEMA MADRID from February 27 to March 1, announces a new edition of FORO SICUR, a space for analysis and reference debate on the importance of comprehensive security for socio-economic development and social and individual well-being. It also addresses the challenges facing the industry and showcases new developments and innovations.

 

Throughout the three locations of FORO SICUR, held in the auditorium of Pavilion 10, the Retiro Room, and the SUR Auditorium of the Fairground, its content is structured around the three sectors of the fair itself: security, fire safety and emergencies, occupational safety, complemented with cybersecurity in SICUR CYBER.

 

FORO SICUR is organized by IFEMA MADRID in collaboration with major associations and entities representing professionals and users in the security field. Its purpose is to increase the added value of the fair by promoting the creation and exchange of knowledge and best practices, providing informative and educational content of interest.

 

Sessions on security

On February 27, organized by the Local Police of Valencia, The Use of AI in Combating Domestic Violence: A Police Perspective will be followed by The Role of Security in Cultural Heritage Management, organized by PROARPA and ASIS INTERNATIONAL. After the lunch break, APECS (Association of Professionals in Locksmithing and Security of Spain) organizes the panel Evolution of Locksmithing. On the first day of SICUR, in the Retiro Room, CDTI organizes Flash Information Day. Call 2024 Cluster 3, Horizon Europe.

During the morning of Wednesday, February 28, there will be 43 years of AES energizing the private security industry: collaboration and cooperation with various actors in our industry, and in the afternoon, the III Report on the State of Women in Public and Private Security: Progress Continues by the Women's Security Observatory. Also, on this day, the S2R-2024 Congress (Safety, Security & Resilience Research in Europe) takes place.

On February 29, the S2R Awards from PESI will kick off in the Retiro Room, followed by technical sessions, and in the afternoon, the Women and Innovation in Security Awards. On March 1, the Security sessions conclude with Security Cameras: Compatibility with Uses Beyond Security by CEUSS.

 

Sessions on fire safety and emergencies

On February 27, TECNIFUEGO organizes Basic Data Sheets for Passive Protection Products, and following that, Fire Protection within the Framework of Occupational Risk Prevention by APICI, the presentation by CEPREVEN of the guide Procedure to Certify CFPA-E Fire Safety Specialists in Building Design, and it concludes with Emergency Management and its Standardization in Fire Departments organized by ASELF.

On February 29, Pavilion 10's auditorium becomes a monographic focus on sustainability. Experts from CEPREVEN, TECNIFUEGO, APICI, ASELF, and APTB will address Sustainability and Fire, a Current Challenge for the Future from the perspective of Photovoltaic Generation, Lithium-Ion Batteries, and High-rise Buildings and Facades. On March 1, the Emergency Military Unit (UME) will present the project of its drone unit, UDRUME, and its intervention in the Turkey earthquake a year ago.

 

Sessions on occupational safety

On Wednesday, February 28, in the SUR Auditorium, Fundación Mapfre and INSST will bring us closer to the 30 years of the Occupational Risk Prevention Law in a session that will last from 10:00 to 14:00. In addition to representatives from the organizers of the session, the program will feature experts from Labor Inspection, the Regional Institute (autonomous community), Fiscal de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, social agents from CEOE, CEPYME, UGT and CC.OO., as well as Prevention Services and Companies ANEPA, ASPREM, AESPLA, PRL PREVENCIÓN, and AMAT.

On the same day, in room A6.1, ASEPAL organizes Fit Testing in Respiratory Protection and Presentation of the EPI Selection Guide 2024.

SICUR's commitment to offering value-added content for comprehensive security is complemented by SICUR CYBER, a space co-organized with Seguritecnia and Red Seguridad focused on cybersecurity, and EXO CORNER, a new section in collaboration with the Institute of Biomechanics (IBV) that will address the emergence of exoskeletons in occupational safety and health. This new space will feature a Speaker's Corner with an interesting program including the first active soft exoskeleton for the hand and the fusion between the body and the exoskeleton.
